It’s a monumental night in Milwaukee Tuesday night when Victor Wembanyama and Giannis Antetokounmpo go head-to-head for the first time ever.

It’s by no means an NBA Finals preview — Wembanyama’s Spurs are dead last in the Western Conference at 4-21 — but a first of what should be many marquee matchup between these two physical specimens.

The 7’4” Wembanyama is the favourite to take home the NBA Rookie of the Year (-120 odds), while the 6’11” Antetokounmpo is +900 to win his third NBA MVP. Antetokounmpo’s Bucks are climbing the Eastern Conference Standings too, as a four-game win streak has them at 19-7 and only behind Boston.

Tip-off at Fiserv Forum goes at 8 p.m. EST, with Milwaukee a 13.5-point favourite on the point spread and the total at 248.5 on the NBA odds.

Spurs vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

The Bucks enter Tuesday as the league’s second-highest scoring team with 124.4 points per game, while San Antonio’s way down in 27th with 122.2 points allowed per contest. Milwaukee’s offensive firepower has willed them to an 18-8 record to the over this season, with eight of their last nine outings finishing over too. All of San Antonio’s last six games against an Eastern Conference opponent have finished over the total.

San Antonio has dropped eight consecutive games on the road and are 1-19 in their last 20 overall games. The Bucks are 13-1 in their last 14 games played at home, making Tuesday as David vs. Goliath as it gets — hence the double-digit point spread.

San Antonio Spurs

On Friday the Spurs finally got a win — their first in over 40 days — but came back down to reality on Sunday in a 36-point loss against New Orleans. It was the same problem that’s hampered the Spurs all season as they allowed 146 points in the loss and even allowed New Orleans to hit a franchise record with 22 three-pointers. San Antonio’s one of few NBA teams allowing over 14 threes a game, while Milwaukee’s one of eight teams averaging over 14 made threes.

23-year-old Devin Vassell came back down to Earth too, scoring 13 points in Sunday’s loss after a career-high 36 in the win over L.A. Friday. Vassell’s still averaging over 18 points a night though, second on the team to Wembanyama’s 19 points a game.

Milwaukee Bucks

Another game, another night where Milwaukee scores over 125. Milwaukee’s hit that mark in all four wins during this current streak, and scored 140 twice. Antetokounmpo got the scoring party started last week when he went off for a franchise-record 64 points last Wednesday against Indiana. It’s been Dame Time ever since with Damian Lillard going for a team-high 33 and 39 points in their most recent pair of dubs.

As many stated when the off-season trade was announced, the addition of Lillard has frankly made things unfair for opponents. Antetokounmpo and Lillard combine for over 55 points game, which then puts the pressure off of the likes of Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton as now secondary scorers.
