Raptors vs. Trail Blazers NBA Betting Odds

Saturday wraps up the season series and Toronto eyes the sweep as it won 117-105 at home on Jan. 8. It was the Blazers’ seventh straight road loss at the time. Pascal Siakam scored 27 points, Scottie Barnes had 22, and Gary Trent Jr. scored 19 against his former team.

Damian Lillard had 34 points in the loss, Jusuf Nurkic had 14 points and 18 rebounds, Anfernee Simons scored 22 points, and Josh Hart had 18. Somehow, Portland got just three points from its bench with five reserves seeing action. The Blazers had 24 turnovers, which led to 29 Toronto points. In 19 career games against the Raptors, Lillard has scored 20-plus points 16 times.

Portland leads the all-time series 33-19 and is 17-8 at home, winning the past two.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto played well for a little more than three quarters at defending NBA champion Golden State on Friday but faded late in a 129-117 loss to snap a two-game winning streak. Things might have been different if OG Anunoby didn’t leave early with a wrist injury following a hard fall. He will not play tonight. Precious Achiuwa is likely to start. He had 17 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes off the bench Friday, his fifth double-double in just 26 games played this season. He had six double-doubles in 73 combined games last year. Toronto and Portland are two of just four teams in the NBA this season with three players averaging at least 18 points per game: Pascal Siakam (25.1 ppg), Fred VanVleet (19.3) and Gary Trent Jr. (18.6) for the Dinos. They are 4-1 ATS in their past five in the second of a back-to-back.

Portland Trail Blazers

Portland All-Star Damian Lillard has to be on any short list of players who could go off for 50 points on a given night, but he did better than that in Wednesday’s 134-124 win over Utah with 60 points on 21-for-29 from the field. Lillard became the fourth player to score 60 points on 70 per cent shooting in NBA history (Wilt Chamberlain, Karl Malone, David Thompson). It was his fourth career game with at least 60, tying Michael Jordan and James Harden for the third most all time (behind Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant). Finally, it was Lillard’s 14th career 50-point game, tying LeBron James for second most among active players (James Harden, 23). Lillard, Luka Doncic, Devin Booker and Joel Embiid are the only players with at least 50 points in a game multiple times this season. Starters Josh Hart (hamstring) and Jusuf Nurkic (calf) left the game injured and they are both questionable. The Blazers are 10-4 ATS in their past 14 at home.
