The Raptors play their second game in less than 24 hours as they visit the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. The Dinos are short underdogs on the NBA odds.

Raptors vs. Pacers NBA Betting Odds

Saturday is the first of three regular-season meetings between the clubs with the Raptors returning to Indianapolis on Jan. 2 and the Pacers heading to Toronto on March 22. The Pacers are in a bit of a transition period as they aren’t really tanking, but they aren’t going to be a playoff team, either. That’s typical for the franchise.

Indiana leads all-time 52-47 and 33-16 at home, but the Raptors won three of four last season and split in Indianapolis. Pascal Siakam played in two of the four and averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists. Scottie Barnes put up 18.8 points, 8.0 0rebounds and 4.8 assists, and OG Anunoby 18.7 points.

Pretty much every key player who put up good numbers for Indiana in last season’s series – Domantas Sabonis, Caris LeVert, Malcolm Brogdon to name three – are with other teams now. Toronto is 9-4 ATS in the past 13 meetings.

Toronto Raptors

This line opened at Toronto -2 so something tells me the Dinos may sit have an issue here as of this writing. They were blasted 132-113 at Oklahoma City on Friday. Little-known Eugene Omoruyi, a Toronto-area native scored a career-high 22 points for OKC. Chris Boucher led the Raptors with 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Scottie Barnes and Fred VanVleet each added 15 points. VanVleet left with a non-COVID illness. He’s in question tonight, so there’s your likely odds answer. The Raptors are 2-6 ATS in their past eight in the second of a B2B.

Indiana Pacers

Indiana will have a huge rest advantage as it has been off since a 122-119 home loss to Denver on Wednesday despite leading by as many as 18 points in the second half. Indiana had a chance to force overtime at the buzzer but Myles Turner‘s 3-pointer missed. He finished 14 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks – Turner is one of the NBA’s top shot-blockers and Indiana ranks third in the league at 6.6 blocks per game. The Pacers have one of the top Rookie of the Year candidates in guard Bennedict Mathurin, the No. 6 overall pick out of Arizona. He had 30 points in the loss and is averaging 20.4 points on the year. Tyrese Haliburton had seventh double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 assists. He leads the NBA in points/assists double-doubles. The Indiana backcourt has some major promise with Haliburton and Mathurin.
