One of the NBA’s biggest days of the regular season annually is the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday in the USA – that is Monday and why the Raps are playing an afternoon game.

Raptors vs. Knicks NBA Betting Odds

Monday is the third of four regular-season meetings between the teams with the series concluding on Jan. 22 in Toronto. They have split the first two, each winning on the road.

Pascal Siakam is averaging 35.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the two, Fred VanVleet 28.0 points, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals, and OG Anunoby 14.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. Julius Randle is averaging 31.0 points and 12.0 assists for New York in the series, with free-agent addition Jalen Brunson at 16.5 points and 10.0 assists. Toronto native RJ Barrett had 30 points, five rebounds and five assists in the one game he played.

The Raptors lead the all-time series 59-54 but are 25-28 as the road team. The total has gone over in five of the past seven meetings.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto had a three-game winning streak snapped Saturday in a 114-103 home loss to Atlanta to conclude a six-game homestand at 3-3. The Hawks never trailed and got a combined 56 points from the All-Star backcourt of Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. Atlanta shot a sizzling 51.2 per cent overall and led by as many as 18. Scottie Barnes had 27 points and 12 rebounds, but no other Raptors player had more than 15 points or better than seven boards. Barnes has 11 double-doubles this season, two shy of his entire total last season when he was NBA Rookie of the Year. Fred VanVleet was 1-for-9 from the field and is questionable Monday with lower back soreness. Toronto is 4-9 ATS in its past 13 on the road.

New York Knicks

New York won for the third straight game and seventh in the past eight Sunday, 117-104 at Detroit. Julius Randle had his best game of the season with 42 points and 15 rebounds. He became the first Knicks player with at least 40 points and 15 rebounds in a game since Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing in 1996. Randle has a double-double in 10 straight games and at least 15 rebounds in four straight. Jalen Brunson added 27 points, Toronto native RJ Barrett 13, and Immanuel Quickley 17 off the bench. The Knicks were very healthy entering Sunday, and it doesn’t appear anyone got hurt. They are 19-6-1 ATS in their past 26 in the second of a B2B.
