It’s a bit of a double-whammy for the Raptors on Sunday as they play the second of a back-to-back and make a one-game road trip to Eastern Conference-leading Milwaukee, which opened as an 8-point favourite on the NBA odds.

Raptors vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

Quite possible these teams meet in the first round of the playoffs as Milwaukee almost surely will finish either first or second in the East, while the Raptors probably are ticketed for the East play-in tournament so if they get out of that and the bracket sets up right, these teams would play in the first round.

Sunday is the third of the regular-season series with the Raptors’ finale at home vs. the Bucks on April 9. Milwaukee won the first two. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo had 30 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists in the one he played. Jrue Holiday had 37 points and seven assists in his lone game. Khris Middleton didn’t play in either. Fred VanVleet leads Toronto in the season series at 33.5 points, 9.5 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game, while Gary Trent Jr. is averaging 25.0 points.

The Bucks lead the all-time series 56-44 and are 28-23 at home. Toronto is 5-1 ATS in its past six in Milwaukee.

Toronto Raptors

The Raptors completed a 3-0 homestand with a 122-107 win over Minnesota on Saturday, their seventh straight home win. Fred VanVleet had 28 points, Pascal Siakam 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Jakob Poeltl 14 points and 11 rebounds to match a career high with his fourth straight double-double. Toronto had six players finish with at least 10 points for the third consecutive game. The team is 15-8 when six or more players hit double digits this season. The Dinos with an upset tonight would get to .500 for the first time since they were 13-13 on Dec. 9. Toronto is 3-8 ATS in its past 11 on the road.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks come off a surprising 139-123 home upset loss to Indiana on Thursday as they were outscored by 25 points after halftime even though Indiana was without its best player in All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton and the Bucks’ Big 3 all played: Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 25 points. Jrue Holiday added 19 and 11 assists, and Khris Middleton finished with 16 for Milwaukee, which shot 52.8 per cent. The Bucks were without starters Grayson Allen (foot) and Brook Lopez (ankle) but still had no right losing. Both are probable tonight. Lopez is currently the betting favourite for NBA Defensive Player of the Year and has been no slouch offensively. Since the All-Star break, Lopez is averaging 20.4 points per game and shooting 56.6 per cent from the field and 41.8 per cent from deep. The Bucks have clinched a spot in the postseason for the seventh consecutive year, the second-longest playoff streak in franchise history. Milwaukee is 1-4 ATS in its past five at home.
