The Toronto Raptors begin a tough three-game road trip Monday against expected Eastern Conference playoff teams when they visit MVP candidate Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are 7-point favourites on the NBA odds with a total of 222 points.

Raptors vs. 76ers NBA Betting Odds

Monday is the third of four regular-season meetings between the teams. They finish on March 31 also in Philadelphia. The clubs played a baseball-type two-game set in Toronto in late October with the Raptors winning the first 119-109, and the Sixers prevailing two nights later 112-90.

Pascal Siakam is averaging 23.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two, Gary Trent Jr. 20.5 points, OG Anunoby (but currently injured) 17.0 points and 2.5 steals, and Scottie Barnes 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey averages 37.5 points in the two for Philly, but the Dinos won’t have to worry about him this time, with Joel Embiid having 31 points and five rebounds in his lone game, and James Harden putting up 14.5 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game in his two.

The total has gone under in five of the past seven meetings.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto lost its season-high fifth straight game Sunday, 126-110 at home to Golden State despite the Warriors playing without superstar Steph Curry and All-Star Andrew Wiggins. The defence has been a major issue in this skid, and the Dubs shot 53.1 per cent from the field and 46.2 per cent from deep. Toronto was outscored 18-5 on the fast break. Pascal Siakam had 27 points, six assists and five rebounds, and Fred VanVleet 22 points, eight assists and four rebounds, but fellow starters Christian Koloko and Juancho Hernangomez totalled 6 points. Gary Trent Jr. missed a second game in a row with quad soreness and is iffy tonight. The Raptors are 3-7 ATS in their past 10 in the second of a back-to-back.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers won a fourth straight game Friday, 118-106 over a short-handed Golden State team. Joel Embiid was typically dominant with 34 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. James Harden had 27 points, nine assists and five rebounds and has now scored 21 points or more in four of the five games he has played since a return from injury. De’Anthony Melton had 17 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He has been starting for the injured Tyrese Maxey, who has been out since Nov. 18 with a fractured left foot and is at least a few weeks away. Maxey is second on the team in averaging 22.9 points per game. Reserve Furkan Korkmaz (4.8 ppg) is questionable. The Sixers are 11-0 ATS in their past 11 home games.
