The Clippers are 7-4 on the year and have been great – at times – this season. With Kawhi Leonard active for this game, will the Clippers cruise to a win?

The New Orleans haven’t been off the last few days after their last game against the Dallas Mavericks was postponed. However, they still sit at 4-5 on the season and will take a trip to Los Angeles to face off against a talented Clippers team.
NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis
The under is 4-0 in the Pelicans last four games on the road and is bound to increase to 5-0 after this matchup. The Pelicans have allowed the fifth fewest points per game to their opponents while the Clippers have allowed the 16th fewest. Combine these two teams and their defensive improvement and you get yourself a lower scoring game.
The Clippers are just 2-6 ATS in their past eight games when coming into the matchup as the home favorite. However, that number should improve this week as the Clippers have a lot of experience throughout their roster and it could end up benefiting them in the closing seconds of this game. New Orleans has a very young roster overall and could end up making key mistakes that the Clippers need in order to give them a meaningful win.
New Orleans Pelicans
The Pelicans have shown some improvement this year and much of that has to do with the health of Zion Williamson. He was only able to play 20 games all of his rookie season and has been unleashed this year, putting up 26 points and eight rebounds during their loss to the Charlotte Hornets a few days ago. But their improvement hasn’t only been because of him, as Brandon Ingram has been averaging 24.0 points per game for this young Pelicans team that has been searching for a consistent closer to lead this team offensively. The pieces are all starting to fall into place but they have yet to get a lot of production out of Lonzo Ball. They need him as this team needs some kind of support for Ingram and Williamson. Those two score in the 20’s; everyone else on the team is at 12.4 or less. They need more of a cast around their big two.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers have been great but inconsistent to start this season and they’re coming off a pair of shaky efforts. They blew a 21-point lead in the third quarter against Golden State, which had a lot of people reminiscing about their huge blown leads in the playoffs last season. Then the Clippers barely edged the Chicago Bulls – a four-win team – with a 130-127 victory. It wasn’t exactly pretty.
The challenge with betting the Clippers is you don’t know which team will show up. They started the year 4-1 and are just 3-3 since. The losses were to credible teams like Utah, San Antonio and Golden State, but is New Orleans in that realm? If the Clippers are again less-than-focused, they could blow it here.
