Pacers vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Wednesday concludes the regular-season series between the teams, and Toronto tries to avoid a sweep as it lost 118-104 in Indianapolis on Nov. 12 and 122-114 also at Indiana on Jan. 2.

Pascal Siakam played in one of the two and had 27 points and seven rebounds. OG Anunoby averaged 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in the two, and Gary Trent Jr. 19.0 points.  Buddy Hield is averaging 20.5 ppg in the season series for the Pacers, and Myles Turner 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. First-time All-Star Tyrese Haliburton is having his best season but averaging just 12.0 ppg in the series (11.5 apg).

Indiana leads the all-time series 54-47 but is 19-31 as the road team, losing the past two away.

Indiana Pacers

Indiana has been better than expected but is now clearly trying to lose as much as possible to potentially improve its draft lottery chances. We say that because a night doesn’t go by without Indiana sitting at least a one key guy. In Monday’s 115-109 loss in Charlotte, All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton was out with a right ankle sprain as were a few reserves. Not clear if Haliburton will play Wednesday. Buddy Hield has played every game this season for Indiana and doesn’t plan to come out. He had 20 points in the loss and leads the NBA in three-pointers made with 265. Good-looking rookie Bennedict Mathurin returned from a four-game injury absence and had 18 points Monday. Indiana is 7-2 ATS in its past nine games.

Toronto Raptors

We projected Toronto to lose 120-112 in Milwaukee on Sunday and were close: 118-111 was the final in favour of the Eastern Conference leaders. In the second of a back-to-back, the Raptors looked worn down in the fourth and were outscored by 13. Brook Lopez scored 17 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter for the Bucks. Fred VanVleet had 23 points and O.G. Anunoby added 22 for the Raptors. Pascal Siakam had 13 points and 12 rebounds, his 20th double-double of the season and third in a row. Scottie Barnes exited in the second quarter with a left wrist injury and did not return. He didn’t practice Tuesday so that’s not a good sign of him playing Wednesday, which will be Canada Basketball night at Scotiabank Arena. Works out well with the Pacers in town as they have four Canadian players: Chris Duarte, Oshae Brissett and rookies Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard. The Raptors are 6-0 ATS in their past six at home.
