The Denver Nuggets are having a very tough time staying afloat right now in the Western Conference. They have lost their last three games with three of them being double-digit losses. They now have to hit the road to play the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that they stomped 124-95 a little over a week ago. Portland has been really good lately, though, winning their last three games and four of their last five. They also have been excellent at home, making it even harder for the Nuggets. Can Denver repeat their previous performance against this team or will Portland even up the season series?

Nuggets vs. Trail Blazers NBA Betting Odds

The Nuggets have lost four straight and have failed to cover the spread in each of those contests. They are just 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 games.

Meanwhile, the Blazers are 7-2 ATS and 8-1 SU at home. However, they have dropped 10 of their last 14 in this series.

Denver Nuggets

Injuries are really starting to pile up for the Nuggets right now. Jamal Murray is still some time away from returning from his ACL injury, Michael Porter Jr was just diagnosed with a back injury that could keep him out the rest of the season and their superstar center Nikola Jokic has missed the last two games with a wrist injury. Jokic is the only one listed that has a chance of returning for this game against Portland. The NBA is all about star power and this team is without three of their best right now.

All of the offensive pressure will fall into other hands Aaron Gordon for now as he is one of those x-factor types of players that can really impact this game in a positive way. He averages just over 13 points per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor. His scoring punch alone won’t be enough, though.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Trail Blazers are really hard to beat on the road right now, they have won eight of their last nine games played at their own stadium and haven’t looked back. The majority of this team’s success stems from the dominance of Damian Lillard, who dropped 39 points in their last game. After a bad start to the year, Lillard is averaging 26.4 points in his last seven games and is completely taking over the offense. Similar to how Denver has Gordon, Portland has Larry Nance Jr. to rely upon in big moments. The free agent acquisition has been huge on both ends of the floor and is crucial to Portland’s bench rotation. They were smashed by the Nuggets in their first matchup, though they now have the upper hand to try and turn it around.
