Nets vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Wednesday is the second of four regular-season meetings between the clubs. On Oct. 21 in Brooklyn, the Nets beat the Raptors 109-105. Kevin Durant broke a tie with a three-pointer with 56 seconds left and had 27 points. Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 30 points. Brooklyn trailed 79-69 late in the third quarter. Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 37 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, but he’s still currently sidelined with a groin injury.

Toronto leads the all-time series 60-45 and is 30-17 at home. The Raptors are 5-0 on Wednesdays this year. They only play twice this week (Saturday vs. Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks) in part because the NBA is dark on the American Thanksgiving holiday Thursday.

Brooklyn is 4-1 against the spread in its past five in Toronto. The under is 4-1 in those.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are so hard to understand. They had no right losing Tuesday night as big favourites in Philadelphia against a Sixers team missing its three best players due to injury, but lose they did 115-106. Kyrie Irving scored 23 points and Kevin Durant had 20 before Coach Jacque Vaughn pulled his starting lineup with three minutes left in the game. Durant had scored at least 25 points in each of the first 17 games, a Nets record and among the longest streaks ever. Centre Nicolas Claxton was in question with a non-COVID illness but played and had 12 points in 21 minutes. Brooklyn is 4-11 ATS in its past five after a loss.

Toronto Raptors

The Dinos are off a 124-122 overtime loss in Atlanta on Saturday. Trae Young threw a long pass to hit A.J. Griffin for a wide-open layup at the overtime buzzer.  The Raptors led 108-101 with 2:36 to go in the fourth quarter. Scottie Barnes missed a layup and a putback attempt at the regulation buzzer but played great otherwise with 28 points (season high), 11 rebounds and nine assists. Barnes didn’t practice Tuesday and is considered day-to-day with a left knee sprain. Gary Trent and Chris Boucher are expected back Wednesday against the Nets after dealing with a non-COVID illness. Dalano Banton is questionable, while Precious Achiuwa, Otto Porter Jr. and Pascal Siakam will remain out. The Raptors are 5-2 ATS in their past seven at home.
