The Brooklyn Nets have turned around their early season struggles and are riding a four-game winning streak into Sunday’s game with the Toronto Raptors. They sit at a 6-3 record on the year and are right there with the Raptors, who are 6-4 but just suffered a home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Which team has the upper hand for Sunday’s contest?

Nets vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Brooklyn is just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games played when coming into the matchup on just one day of rest. They are also 18-8 ATS in their past 26 games when they are listed as the favorite for the matchup. The under has been great for them as well, cashing out in five straight games when the team suffers an ATS loss in the previous contest.

The Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall but are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games played on a Sunday. Toronto is also just 0-5 ATS in their past five games at home when going up against a team with a winning road record. Unlike Brooklyn, the over has cashed out in four of their last five games when the team lost straight up in the previous game.

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are relying on the offensive strengths of Kevin Durant to get them from game to game right now. Durant is putting himself in the MVP category early on, averaging 28.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. His efficiency is also off the charts right now, helping lead this squad to wins with Kyrie Irving still out and James Harden struggling to get into any sort of rhythm. Harden is averaging just 17.7 points per game this season, which is a huge drop-off from the 24.6 he contributed last season. He’s also shooting a paltry 38.5% from the field, which is the worst mark of his career.

They’ll have a huge talent edge on Sunday but they’re on the road. Durant will need help from Harden and the cast to get this done as the Raptors are playing well as a team right now.

Toronto Raptors

Toronto doesn’t have the star power that it used to, but this team still has many young and scrappy players. OG Anunoby has been taking yet another step forward in his development, averaging 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He has also been one of the biggest factors in the Raptors owning one of the best defenses in the league right now. They rank fifth in the league in points allowed per game at just 100.4. Toronto just needs to figure out a bit more of an identity on the offensive end if they want to win more games.
