The Brooklyn Nets are aiming for their fourth straight win when they head to Orlando to face the Magic, who sit dead last in the Eastern Conference standings.  Both teams have been off since Sunday.  Brooklyn downed the Knicks 110-107 at home, while the Magic fell 116-114 to the 76ers in Orlando.

The Nets are 10-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 231.0.

Nets vs. Magic NBA Betting Odds

This is the fourth and final meeting between the teams this season.  Brooklyn won the first two games in each city in November, while Orlando won on the road in December.  The Over has hit in three of the last four games.

The Nets have performed better on the road this season, where they’re 21-15 compared to 14-18 at home.  A lot of that likely has to do with Kyrie Irving still not being eligible to play home games.  They haven’t been a great cover option, going 26-39-3 against the spread overall, although they are 6-0-1 ATS across their last seven road games.  Strong defensive play has helped the total go Under in four of Brooklyn’s last six games.

Orlando sits last in the Eastern Conference with just eight wins in 32 home games this season.  They’re 33-36 ATS overall, but they’ve managed to cover in five of their last six games.  The total has gone Under in five of the Magic’s last six games.

Brooklyn Nets

Irving wasn’t allowed to play at home on Sunday, but ironically he was allowed to be in the building and maskless.  That absence didn’t matter for Brooklyn, however, as Kevin Durant had a monster season-high 53-point performance.  It was Durant’s 60th career 40-point performance and one point shy of matching his career-high.  Andre Drummond added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Bruce Brown Jr. finished with 15 points and seven boards.

Irving, who is averaging 25.9 points per game, will be available to play on Tuesday.  Durant is averaging 29.6 ppg, fourth-best in the NBA.  Seth Curry is listed as questionable against Orlando because of an ankle injury that made him a late scratch on Sunday.  There’s still no timeline on Ben Simmons‘ Brooklyn debut as he continues to deal with a back injury.

Orlando Magic

It’s another losing season in Orlando as they’ll miss the playoffs for the seventh time in the last nine years.  The Magic blew a 10-point lead heading into the fourth quarter against Philadelphia, eventually losing the game in overtime.  Wendell Carter Jr. had a team-high 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Cole Anthony added 19 points and eight boards.  Orlando hung on in the game despite going without a field goal for nearly seven minutes in the third quarter.  The team is averaging 104.2 ppg, 28th in the NBA, ahead of just Detroit and Oklahoma City.

Anthony is averaging a team-high 17.3 ppg and 5.7 assists.  Carter averages 14.6 ppg and a team-high 10.4 rebounds.  Jonathan Isaac has officially been ruled out for the rest of the season.  This is the second full season Isaac will miss after tearing the ACL in his left knee during the COVID bubble in August 2020.
