They are now 13-5 on the season and are on a three-game winning streak. Overall, they have won 11 of their last 13 games. They have to hit the road this week to go up against the Boston Celtics, a team that flopped out to a 2-5 start before beginning to find a rhythm. Boston has now won three straight games of their own and hope to make it four after this one. Who will prevail in this playoff rematch from a season ago?

Nets vs. Celtics NBA Betting Odds

The Nets are 5-1 ATS in their last six games when suffering an ATS loss in their previous matchup. Luckily, they are pretty consistent while playing in the middle of the week, winning four of their past five matchups against the spread on a Wednesday. As you could expect from a team that has Kevin Durant on it, the over has cashed out in six of their last seven games overall.

The Celtics are undefeated in their last five games when going up against a team with a winning straight up record. They are also 6-1 ATS in their past seven when playing on one day of rest. Boston has been on a tear lately in general, with a 9-2 ATS record in their last 11 matchups this season.

Brooklyn Nets

While the Nets continue to wait for Kyrie Irving to hit the floor again, Kevin Durant and James Harden carry the lineup. Durant is playing like a legitimate MVP candidate right now, averaging 28.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this season. He is also having one of his best shooting seasons ever. Harden has pitched on stat lines of 21.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game to help take the Nets to the next level. Luckily, they have tremendous depth as well, which is pretty surprising. Patty Mills and Lamarcus Aldridge lead the way for a team that is 10th in the league in bench scoring.

Boston Celtics

The Celtics were able to get Jaylen Brown back from his injury that had him sidelined for 10 games this season. He had a 19-point outing but admitted that he is still less than 100 percent heading into this game with Brooklyn. Thankfully, the Celtics still have Jayson Tatum to dominate the ball so that Brown can be eased into his normal minutes. Tatum averages 25.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game but has been steadily improving over the last few weeks.

The key to this team has been defense. They were among the league’s best last year but have fallen into the middle of the pack in most categories. They’ll need to be sharp on Wednesday or they’re likely to get run over.
