The Mavs are coming off a 105-100 defeat in Toronto on Saturday, and are now deadlocked with Golden State in 10th place in the conference standings. The Bucks tallied a 117-102 win over Cleveland, and now aim to wrap up their current four-game win streak with their first back-to-back victories in 10 contests.

The Bucks have climbed to 7-point favourites since opening at -6 on the NBA odds while attracting the support of 57 per cent of sports bettors. The total has held steady since opening 214.5, with the OVER garnering 88 per cent of the betting action.

Mavericks vs. Bucks NBA Betting Odds

Sunday night’s matchup at Fiserv Forum marks the first of two scheduled meetings between these clubs, and just the third visit to Milwaukee by the Mavericks since 2019. Road teams prevailed in each of last season’s two clashes between these teams, with the Mavs earning a 118-122 victory when they last came to town on April 3. Overall, these clubs have split their past eight meetings, ending a steady 10-2 straight up run for Dallas.

Low scoring has been typical of late, with the total topping 221 just once during a 3-1 run for the UNDER. While these clubs have taken turns claiming victories in recent head-to-head contests, the Mavericks have largely dominated at the sportsbooks, going 14-4-1 against the spread in 19 dates with the Bucks. The Mavs have also won outright in two of their past three visits to Milwaukee as underdogs, and are 12-2-1 against the spread in their past 15.

Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks have continued to struggle on offence during their current slide. The club has averaged just 103 points per game during their current 0-3 run, and have now scored 100 or fewer points in four of their past five outings. Currently ranked 26th in the league in points scored per game, things have been particularly tough for the is team on the road, where they have dropped four straight, and six of seven so far this season.

Indeed, Luca Doncic has received little help with consistency in his efforts to spark the offence. Doncic has vaulted to the top of the NBA scoring race while tallying 33.4 points per game, but has mustered 24 or fewer points in three of the team’s four recent road defeats, and has recorded double-doubles in just three of 12 outings. In addition, this team has struggled when playing in the back half of games played on consecutive nights, losing four of six including three of four on the road.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks look poised to bust out of their recent uneven stretch after mounting an impressive comeback in Friday’s victory over the Cavaliers. Trailing by 11 points at the half, the Bucks seized control while kicking off the second half on a dominating 23-2 run, and limited the Cavs to just 39 points after recess in their 117-102 win. Not surprisingly, Giannis Antetokounmpo sparked the attack, piling up 38 points and is now averaging 37 points per game over the first three dates on this home stand.

However, injuries remain a concern for this club. Khris Middleton has yet to make his season debut due to an injury. In addition, Serge Ibaka is confirmed out on Sunday, and Pat Connaughton’s status remains uncertain, as both players battle non-COVID illnesses.
