It’s a back-to-back spot for both clubs too, as Phoenix is hosting their second home game in as many nights.

The Suns took care of business last night with a 108-102 victory over Detroit that put them back in first. The win made it three in a row for the 12-6 Suns. A 129-118 loss at Golden State made it three losses in a row for the Jazz, who are now at 12-9 and eighth in the Western Conference.

Tip-off at Footprint Center starts at 9 p.m. EST, with the Suns 7.5-point favourites on home court and the total listed at 230 on the NBA odds.

Jazz vs. Suns NBA Betting Odds

The Suns are now 10-1 on home court this season, owning one of the league’s most drastic home-away splits. Utah is somewhat in the category, now falling below .500 in 13 road games. Utah’s also losers of seven of their last nine games overall.

The over is now on a six-game streak in Jazz games, and hit in six of their last seven on the road. Phoenix is trending the other way, with the under hitting in nine of their last 13 overall. Head-to-head, the over has hit in five of the last seven Jazz–Suns contests and four of their last five played in Phoenix. These teams met back on November 18, with Utah winning 134-133.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz have had extreme problems keeping the ball out of their net recently, with three straight games of allowing at least 120 points. Utah scored at least 114 in all of three of those games themselves, but never cracked 120 and lost all three. The Jazz let Golden State shoot 44.4 per cent from the three-point line, with the Warriors knocking down 20 treys. Utah’s now 23rd in the NBA with 115.1 points allowed per game.

But the Jazz also remain a top-five offence, scoring 117.4 a night. Lauri Markkanen leads the club with 22 points a game and posted a team-high 24 in last night’s loss. Forward Kelly Olynyk and guard Jordan Clarkson finished with 21 points each too.

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix got a massive showing from Deandre Ayton last night, who scored a season-high 28 points to go with 12 rebounds. Cameron Payne also picked up a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The double-double was Payne’s first of the season; Ayton has five of them in his last six games.

Phoenix hasn’t given up over 105 points since that 134-133 loss to Utah eight days ago. The Suns are just outside the top-five in the NBA with 107.8 points allowed per game, making Saturday’s rematch an interesting storyline between their defence and Utah’s offence. The Jazz won round one.
