The Brooklyn Nets enter Tuesday’s affair on a two-game losing streak and could easily extend that as it looks like Kevin Durant will be out.

NBA Point Spread and Betting Analysis

The Jazz are 7-1 straight up in their past eight games against the Nets but that could change this week. Brooklyn it nowhere near the same team that they were the last few seasons as they have more talent and star power.

For Brooklyn, they are 0-5 ATS in their last five games out but are looking to pick up an ATS win against the Jazz on Tuesday. The Nets have the firepower to dominate this game but are going to need all the effort they can get on the defensive end in order to pull away with a solid victory.

Utah Jazz

Led by Mitchell, Utah team is very consistent on the offensive end. They’ve now had years of building chemistry together as the roster is mostly the same year-over-year. At the other end of the court, they are one of the better defensive teams. Led by Rudy Gobert both and the rest of the team make opposing players work hard for any type of shot in the paint. That’s why this team is eighth in points-per-game allowed and sixth in opponent field goal percentage.

Overall, this team is very well rounded with a lot of defensive talent to go along with offensive threats on the other end. They are going to have their hands full this game though as Irving will stretch this team out but they will catch a break with Durant out. Obviously, dodging one of the game’s biggest superstars will improve their chances of winning.

Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn may be on a small losing streak and it could get worse. The team had already lost guard Spencer Dinwiddie for the season and they’ll now be without Durant as he has to quarantine for a week. Those absences make it a whole lot harder for the starters and bench unit to score.

Something isn’t quite right in Brooklyn yet as this team won their first two games of the season but has since dropped four of five. In fairness, a lot of those losses are close and teams are throwing everything they have at them as Brooklyn is viewed as the team to beat in the East. Two losses were by two or less and another was in overtime. It’s not thing to worry about yet but with Durant and Dinwiddie now out, this cold spell could extend.
