It’s the last of a six-game road trip for Boston in which they are 3-2 on. Sacramento is on a back-to-back, travelling back from Utah where they fell 128-120. The loss broke a three-game win streak for the Kings.

The loss dropped Sacramento into third place in the West at 43-28. Odds are the Kings will get home court in the first round of the playoffs, but they remain jockeying with Denver and Memphis for the top three spots. The second-place Celtics have clinched a playoff spot in the East at 40-23 and are in a similar spot in their conference, currently a half-game ahead of third.

Tip-off at Golden 1 Center is set for 10 p.m. ET with the Celtics a four-point favourite on the road and the total at 238.5 on the NBA odds.

Celtics vs. Kings NBA Betting Odds

Both Boston and Sacramento enter as two of the NBA’s top four scoring teams, with the Kings averaging a league-best 121.1 points per game. Boston won their only meeting with Sacramento this season by a score of 122-104 on November 25. Five of these teams’ last seven meetings have finished under the total.

The Celtics are 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven against Pacific Division opponents. The Kings are 6-2 ATS over their last eight overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five against Eastern Conference clubs.

Boston Celtics

Boston had a similar fate as Sacramento when it came to travelling to Utah, as the Celtics fell there 118-117 on Saturday. The Celtics were without starters Marcus Smart (left hip contusion) and Al Horford (lower back stiffness) after both had suited up the night prior in Portland. Smart and Horford were ruled day-to-day and the team has yet to declare their statuses at Sacramento.

Grant Williams and Blake Griffin entered the Celtics starting lineup Saturday, and it was Williams who had the bigger night with 23 points and a career-high seven threes. Williams also had a potential game-winning shot blocked. Boston, the NBA’s second-highest three-point shooting team, chucked up 51 treys and hit 22. They average just under 16 a game this year.

Sacramento Kings

A poor start and shooting night overall cost the Kings an important contest Monday in Utah. By the time the second quarter hit, the Kings were down 21 points, but as so often this season Sacramento caught fire and a 43-point third quarter made the loss a close game down the stretch. The Kings are the second-best shooting team in the NBA this season at 49.8 per cent from the field but even with that third quarter run, Sacramento was held to shooting just over 42 per cent.

De’Aaron Fox led Sacramento with 37 points and finished 6-of-9 from three-point range. Kevin Huerter sat out his second straight game with a left knee injury.
