The injury-riddled Milwaukee Bucks were able to break their two-game losing streak by snagging a nine-point victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in their last outing. The win moved them up to 5-6 on the season, which is not the start that the reigning champions were hoping for. They now take their show on the road as they play the 7-4 New York Knicks, who are also coming off a win over the 76ers. Which side is the best bet in this spot?

The Knicks are 4-point favourites to win on the NBA odds, with a total of 217.

Bucks vs. Knicks NBA Betting Odds

Milwaukee is just 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games when coming into the contest as the road underdog.  They’re 1-4 ATS in their past five games when being listed as the underdog overall. This team also hasn’t been great on back-to-backs as they have lost their last four games against the spread under those circumstances. At least the under has been consistent, cashing out in their past seven games overall.

Meanwhile, New York is 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games when going up against a team with a losing straight up record. However, they are just 1-4 ATS in their past five games at home when up against a team with a winning road record. Unlike the Bucks, the over has cashed out in four of their last five games when they have been listed as the home favourite.

Milwaukee Bucks

Injuries have really hit this team hard. Jrue Holiday recently made his return to the court but Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez still aren’t playing. Assuming neither of them can make it onto the floor in this one, Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to shoulder the load on both ends. He is leading the team in practically every major statistical category.  Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.3 points, 11.1 rebounds, six assists, 1.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. He will need some other role players to step up and contribute if they want to get their revenge on the Knicks after New York beat them in the first meeting. Look for Holiday, Bobby Portis or Pat Connaughton to get a lot of good looks. They will need to knock down shots to stay in the game.

New York Knicks

A season ago, the Knicks were known for their stellar defence. This year, it is a little bit different. Their offence has improved drastically due to the signings of Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, but their defence has taken a minor step backwards. Through all of the roster changes, Julius Randle continues to play at an All-Star level, averaging 22.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, leading the team in each of those categories. Derrick Rose has also flourished in his reduced scoring role, averaging 12.5 points per contest off the bench. He has been incredibly efficient at what he does. If they can figure out their defence again, they’ll be in great shape to earn the win here.
