The Bucks travel to Dixie after eking out a 111-109 victory in New York on Monday night. It marked the first time in a month they recorded wins in consecutive road contests. The Hawks return home after closing out a four-game swing through California with Sunday’s 112-108 win over the LA Clippers. The Hawks have now claimed victory in two of three outings after falling to defeat in five of their previous six contests including a 1-3 run on home hardwood.

The Bucks have improved to 2.5-point road favourites on the NBA odds since opening at -1.5, backed by 88 per cent of sports bettors. There has been plenty of movement on the total which has vaulted to 236. 5 since it opened at 232.

Bucks vs. Hawks NBA Betting Odds

Wednesday night’s matchup at State Farm Arena marks the fourth and final meeting of the season between these Eastern Conference rivals. The Hawks have tallied decisive victories in two of their first three dates with Milwaukee, including a lopsided 117-98 win when the Bucks came to town on Nov. 7.

With wins in their past two meetings, the Hawks have now won and covered in five of seven regular season clashes with the Bucks, and have also topped the Bucks in four straight home dates while claiming victory by an average margin of 13.3 points. However, that has not produced payouts for sports bettors taking the OVER, which has gone 1-5 in the past six matchups in games played in Atlanta.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Bucks needed a huge second-half effort to eke out their victory over the Knicks on Monday night. Trailing by as many as 17 points in the third quarter, the Bucks steadily chipped away at that deficit with an impressive performance from beyond the arc, draining eight of 11 attempts. Overall, Milwaukee hit from downtown 19 times on the night after going 20-for-48 on threes in Friday’s 138-109 loss in Charlotte. However, that steady production has not been enough to halt a dismal run of slow starts that have seen this team average just 22.6 points per game in the first quarter over their past five outings.

On a positive note, Giannis Antetokounmpo showed no ill effects of his recent injury in Monday’s win. The Greek Freak tallied a team-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes of work, and has recorded at least a double-double in four of five outings, and 27.3 points per game over his past four visits to Atlanta.

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks needed a fourth-quarter rally to get past the Clippers on Sunday. Trailing by as many as 11 points midway through the final frame, the Hawks erased that deficit and sealed the win with a game-ending 21-6 run. Once again, it was Trae Young leading the charge with a game-high 30 points, including 14 points during the Hawks’ fourth-quarter sprint.

Overall, Young has set himself apart while racking up 29.2 points per game over his pat 10 outings. The 24-year-old has also recorded over 10 assists per game over his past 12 outings, and recorded double-doubles in five of seven home dates. However, containing opposing shooters remains a huge challenge. Atlanta has surrendered a stunning 125 points per game over its past seven contests, but have managed to hold the Bucks to just 104 points per game in their past four home tries.
