Toronto is a 1-point favourite on the NBA odds.

76ers vs. Raptors NBA Betting Odds

Toronto is 1-1 in these baseball-type series so far, splitting two games in Miami on Saturday and Monday. It is pretty tough to win or lose both of a two-game set like this outside of the postseason just because it’s still an unusual setup for the players.

The Dinos will have a handful more of these series – not counting a home-and-home – and next on Dec. 9 and 11 in Orlando. The next home such series is Jan. 10 and 12 vs. Charlotte. It’s the first time the 76ers play the same team in the same location in back-to-back games this year. Big disadvantage for Philly as well because it plays again Saturday in Chicago, so it’s not out of the question that star Joel Embiid sits out Friday.

Philadelphia is 6-16 against the spread in its past 22 in Toronto.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers dropped to 1-4 with Wednesday’s 119-109 loss at Scotiabank Arena, and there’s growing speculation that Coach Doc Rivers might be in trouble. Joel Embiid had 31 points as did Tyrese Maxey in the loss. James Harden had 18 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, but Tobias Harris was largely invisible with three points. De’Anthony Melton was in question but added 12 points off the bench. It’s not exactly rocket science but when the Sixers share the ball and don’t turn it over, they win. Philadelphia is 9-1 in its past 10 when having at least 25 assists and under 10 turnovers. On Wednesday, they had 29 assists but 12 turnovers. The Sixers are 3-14-1 ATS in their past 18 road games.

Toronto Raptors

Reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes returned from a one-game injury absence in Wednesday’s win and had 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Gary Trent Jr. led with 27 points, while Pascal Siakam had 20 points and 13 assists. Chris Boucher was solid off the bench with 13 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes. The Raptors outscored the Sixers by 11 when he was on the court. Offseason addition Otto Porter Jr. has yet to debut due to a hamstring injury but now also is dealing with some personal issues and will not play anytime soon. Toronto is 4-1 ATS in its past five games. As we noted, tough to sweep these series so we’ll take Philly – unless Joel Embiid does sit.
