The Philadelphia 76ers are a completely different team when superstar center Joel Embiid isn’t on the floor. Embiid has missed the last few games and it has contributed to the teams four-game losing streak. They will need to prepare to be without him once more as he has already been ruled out for Tuesday’s games against the Utah Jazz. Utah started the year with a 7-1 overall record but have since lost four of their last five. Both teams have had their issues, but which one will be able to overcome them first?

76ers vs. Jazz NBA Betting Odds

Philadelphia are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games out on the road and a measly 2-6-1 ATS in their past nine when going up against teams with a winning percentage over .600 on the season. The 76ers are also just 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 contests when coming in as the listed underdog. Luckily, the over has been consistent, cashing out in their past five when coming off a straight up loss.

Meanwhile, the Jazz are great when getting two days of rest, with a 7-2 ATS record in their past nine. They are also exceptional on Tuesdays, winning eight of their last 11 matchups on that day of the week. The over seems to be just as consistent for Utah as it does for Philadelpiha, cashing out in this teams last four games when they are lined up at home against a team with a winning road record.

Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers have barely been keeping it together this season. With Embiid missing the last few games, Tobias Harris missing six due to COVID protocols and Ben Simmons staying away from the squad altogether, they have had little star power on the court. Along with the absence of Simmons and Embiid for this game, Danny Green and Matisse Thybulle will both miss the game too. It is going to be a heavy dose of Seth Curry and Tyrese Maxey in this Philly offense.

Maxey averages 17.6 points per game while Curry adds on 16.2 per outing. Harris is slowly starting to regain his rhythm but it is going to be really difficult to mix all that together against a talented team with a lot of chemistry like Utah. Philadelphia needs somebody to have a breakout performance.

Utah Jazz

Utah is on the verge of getting Rudy Gay out on the court for the first time but it appears he’s on the wrong side of questionable for this one. However, that status may change as the game nears closer. As expected, Donovan Mitchell is leading the offense in the scoring category with 25.6 points per game. Rudy Gobert has done essentially everything else, rebounding and defending at a high level like he always does. The real strength of this team is their depth and chemistry. This roster hasn’t undergone a major change in a few years with players like Jordan Clarkson, Royce O’Neal and Joe Ingles are all crucial pieces on both ends of the floor. They definitely hold the advantage walking into this contest with so many 76ers players unable to suit up.
