Only six players remain from the 622 who started the 2012 WPT Legends of Poker and San Diego based semi-pro poker player Josh Hale is the current chip leader with 7,325,000 in chips heading into the WPT Legends final table.
To win, he’ll have outwit poker pros Greg Mueller, Ali Eslami and Jeff Madsen. Hale has twice the chips of his closest competition, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Greg “FBT” Mueller.
After an up-and-down day that dropped him way down the chip counts early on, Mueller carved his way back up to bag up 3,490,000 for second overall.
However, we shouldn’t discount Eslami either. This is Ali Eslami’s second WPT final table he has over $1,000,000 in lifetime winnings.
Meanwhile, Jeff Madsen is a two-time bracelet winner, while Max Steinberg won a WSOP bracelet this summer.
