Poker pro Daniel Negreanu is continually finding ways to make waves in the poker world – whether it be by hating Annie Duke’s guts – or other shenanigans, Negreanu is always in the poker news. This time, he’s taking on rising poker star rUaBot (identity yet to be revealed) in a heads-up Limit Challenge this weekend.
With each player holding a $75K bankroll, the match will take place on Cinco de Mayo starting at 2 p.m. ET. The pair will play 1,250 hands of $200/$400 Limit Hold’em.
rUaBot is making waves having made thousands playing Limit Hold’em in online poker rooms.
“In my opinion, fixed limit is more strategic than No-Limit,” he told the PokerStars blog. ”In No-Limit, you always have some guessing games like ‘would he bluff here or wouldn’t he?’ Of course, such situations often happen in Fixed-Limit, too, but there is much more space for general strategic adaptions than in No-Limit. I think, setting up your standard game is pure math, but exploiting your opponents patterns is an art… and will always be!”
And for once, Negreanu is humbled, Tweeting, “My goal is not to get crushed.”
