Everyone Hates Vienna on The Bachelor Episode 4

If you didn’t already know, The Bachelor is a contest for the affections of strapping pilot, Jake Pavelka, who is looking for the one thing he’s missing – the love of his reality TV life. Yes, in this episode of  The Bachelor, connections will be made, heartache will be had and junk will be jiggled.

This week, what began as a cattle call for 25 women looking for true love and 15 minutes of fame dwindled down to a road trip up the California coast. Yes, two giant RVs pulled up outside the Bacheorette mansion and the eight remaining jackals scrambled aboard.

“I’m ready to get my relationship with Jake rolling down the highway of love,” Ella told cameras.

This episode saw four - yes, four - bachelorettes get dumped by Pavelka, (Ella among them). The truth of the matter is, it looks like Jake has decided who his future wife is and it’s most likely one of two women: sweet, divoced, double-jointed Tenley or Vienna, the girl everyone hates.

You see, the cattier and the bitchier the women, the better the show and luckily for producers, all the women in the house loathe 23-year-old Vienna Girardi. Vienna, a self-proclaimed “Daddy’s girl” is unemployed and has crashed five cars, which have been repeatedly replaced by Daddy. Another tid-bit on Vienna’s resume is that she has “Mommy-daughter days” with her lap dog named Chloe. Vienna admits that she and Chloe dress in matching sundresses and dine at Floridian cafés. Although extremely annoying and superficial, Vienna doesn’t seem like the worst humanity has to offer.  Sure, she and her dog wear matching outfits and she is handed a new car as a reward for crashing a prior one, but she’s not exactly Vienna Bin Laden.

Then there’s Tenley, who wears her divorce like a scarlet letter. Her way of wooing Jake is to constantly remind him of her marital shame. On the first episode, Tenley begged Jake to kiss her and when he did, she cried because it was too soon after her divorce, damnit. In the second episode, Tenley told Jake once again about her dreaded past. She cried while she told Jake the story we’ve all heard about how she was a virgin when she got married, then her husband cheated on her. In this episode, Tenley, again, reminded Jake that she’s divorced and told Jake that the other woman was someone her husband worked with. But apparently, Jake likes Tenley’s blubbering and often thanks her for “opening up.”

What do you think? Will Tenley ever get over the broken marriage? Will Corrie be the dark horse? With just five women left and a trip to San Francisco, will Vienna get under Ali’s skin so much that she’ll jump off the Golden Gate Bridge? Did Jake do the right thing by not handing out all the roses, or will he soon realize his choices are limited? Tune in for next week’s installment when the girls get catty (again). Yes there will be romance, drama and as always, the shattered dreams of reality TV tramps.
