Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, gave birth to a hefty daughter who weighed in at a staggering 9 pounds 13 ounces and measured in at 21.75 inches. Simpson’s father slash manager Joe Simpson tweeted, “Proud PaPaJoe !! Beautiful baby girl… What a miracle!”
Simpson released a statement on her website that read, “Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson.”
“We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives.”
Sister Ashlee Simpson said, “Bronx and I are in love with Maxwell already! Jessica has wanted to be a mom since we were little girls and I couldn’t be more excited for her and Eric!”
Well, now the world can breathe a sigh of relief and also begin speculating Simpson’s post-baby weight. Simpson’s curves, which have long been tabloid fodder, have been an extremely hot topic since she seemed to gain a large amount of weight during her pregnancy.
