Have you ever been so angry, you could just grab some chick by the ponytail and pull her ass to the ground? Well apparently, University of New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert has. Unfortunately for 20-year-old Lambert her hair pulling rage (and other atrocities) were all caught on tape during a NCAA Women’s Soccer West Conference semifinal game against rivals Brigham Young University. Although Lambert was successful in sneaking her violent attacks past soccer refs, the loco Lobo was unable to get her tripping, hair pulling and face smacking by the nearly 3.4 million viewers on YouTube. Now Lambert has become an Internet sensation for all the wrong reasons (usually the case for Internet sensations) and we at Sports Interaction have taken notice. Thus, we have updated our entertainment odds to include props on Lambert’s soccer game hissy fit.
Of course, Lamebert (typo, but it stays), has apologized for her actions since the world has labeled her a jerk face soccer bully – but we don’t think she would have apologized if cameras hadn’t caught her snapping BYU forward Kassidy Shumway’s neck back by yanking her ponytail.
Lambert grovelled, “I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary. This is in no way indicative of my character or the soccer player that I am. I am sorry to my coaches and teammates for any and all damages I have brought upon them.”
Before finally receiving a yellow card, Lambert let her “emotions get the best of her” in more than a handful of instances. Now indefinitely suspended from the game, if you think you have an idea of what Lambert will get up to next, you can make some cold hard cash. For example, if you think Lambert will abandon soccer for a career in wrestling, a mere $10 bet will get you $1010.00. Perhaps you’re of the opinion that Lambert will be charged with assault before graduating college. If you think this is a definite possibility, a $10 bet will pay out a cool $90. How about Lambert launching her own line of hair extensions, or winning boxing gold at the 2012 Olympics, or even starring in Charlie’s Angels 3? We have all the outlandish Elizabeth Lambert props that will keep you glued to her antics post soccer game rage.
