Most Vegas nightclubs pay money to have infamous heiress Paris Hilton party at their venues. The Wynn Hotel & Casino however, is not one of them. Now, Paris is in search of a new tables to dance on.
Since her recent arrest for cocaine possession, 29-year-old Hilton has been blacklisted by the swanky Vegas resort after the illegal drug spilled from her purse on the property in front of police.
Wynn Resorts spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne told the press that Hilton is now barred from Wynn Las Vegas and Encore. Dunne also announced that Hilton’s boyfriend, nightclub executive Cy Waits, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI, has been “separated from the company and is free to pursue other interests.”
Waits, who had recently promoted to Co-Chief of Nightlife Operations at Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, managing Tryst at the Wynn and XS at Encore, was pulled over after police say they smelled marijuana wafting from the window of the car he was driving with Hilton.
Meanwhile, more bad news for Hilton – it seems like her “purse isn’t mine” defence she was planning on offering the court isn’t going to fly since Radaronline uncovered a July tweet of Hilton’s where she posted a picture of the Chanel purse along with the caption: “Love My New Chanel Purse I Got Today.”
Hilton’s legal team was trying to channel O.J. Simpson’s infamous dream team ala (“if the doesn’t doesn’t fit, you must acquit) planning to claim that the purse she was carrying, which the cocaine had spilled from, actually belonged to a friend. Hilton claimed that several items in the purse belonged to her, including a broken Albuterol pill, Zig Zag wrappers and $1,300 in cash and credit cards. However, Hilton argued that several cosmetic items as well as the baggie of cocaine, were not hers. Hilton also had an explanation for the .8 grams of cocaine, as police wrote in their report, “She had not seen it but now thought it was gum.”
Now Hilton faces felony drug-possession charges, which carries a minimum one-year prison sentence. She is slated to be arraigned on a Oct. 27.
